I am told this is where the oil was founded in PA. We road for about 51/2 hours. honestly, it went rather fast. I got up at, or awakened at 7:30am. I cleaned up everything, ate cereal for breakfast put everything in its place and by 10:30 am we are ready to roll. I might add that includes making two pita pocket sandwiches for lunch.
We did not feed the cats just gave them treats. The first hour was horrible they whine and cry but no vomit. That’s a good thing! Except that Stormy drools awful! Disgusting I am wiping he’s chin constantly. After about two hours they calmed down. We brought their breakfast and fed them at the gas stop. Maybe 2&1/2 hrs into the ride. They ate their food kept it down and tried to sleep. I guess that’s how we must do it from now on. They never were afraid before when we go camping. But, maybe with age comes fear?
The ride went so fast! It was beautiful threw the mountains.
Every once in a while we drove thru towns. It is weird cause it’s a hywy. At one point a RR crossed it! Not only that houses live along the hywy!
We drove along the Susquehanna River which was quite wide and so pretty.
We finally took a break for gas fill up. I fed the cats and retrieved lunch and went to the bathroom. Kind of nice when you bring your own potty!,,
All good we continued on and finally got to the camp ground. I don’t remember it. El remembers the gravel under the RV last time we were here! But can’t remember where the famous Leaning tower is located!
We set up fine and relax. I decide to make a frozen plant based pizza crust. I pill all sorts of stuff on top and 15mins later wham pizza!
I added red wine but of course and we have dinner. It turns out no TV! It’s ok I will read and go to bed. We have another long day of driving tomorrow to Ohio. We enjoy it there the campground is along the river and we watch all these folks in tires flowing down and drinking, THEY ARE HAVING FUN. We shall see how masks and 6 ft apart is working!
It is only 9:30 but with no TV it doesn’t pay to stay awake. So I will go read in bed. I enjoy doing that at night.
