Well up and exercise and get dressed. I make sure to wear the necklace my mother in law gave me, it’s so pretty and one of my favorites. We have blueberry bread and fruit for breakfast. Thinking lunch at the sisters.
We get ready to go. We get a note from the sister to come thru the garage to back of home, bring chairs and drinks. Okay then….
We load our stuff and head out. The family is coming so we will be glad to see everyone.
We get there and put on masks, a bro met us outside and had a mask on. We get to the back. Everyone is sitting more than 6 feet apart all with masks on. So we find places on the lawn far from each other. Feels weird.
There is on the table paper plates with a napkin, fork, a paper cup with watermelon, a snack bag of mixed nuts, and a well wrapped piece of moms famous chocolate cake, measured out for each of us.
No one is aloud inside the home. El has to pee and is told to us a tree! Seriously! Luckily he has a urinal bottle in the truck. So he manages. I am worrying what to do?
The family is making me nervous. I can’t drink I am not going to pee by a tree! I try to focus on the people. Mom looks great she has so much energy. Gotta love her in her 90s!
I finally ask my sister in law that I have to go, so she relents and allows me to go into the bathroom, mask on shoes off. I feel a little better.
One of my brother in laws says his gotta go. They get up and cook veggies on the grill. I hear talk of skewered chicken and fish maybe? Thinking late lunch or dinner? Not sure what’s happening.
Finally my husband packs up and says we are going. There is no mention of food, weird. Wave and say goodbye, glad we saw one bro in the campground. Good to see mom. It was a weird afternoon at best.
On the way home, it poured buckets of rain. The weirdest thing the sun was out!
By the time we got to the campground it stopped raining.
So life is not easy and we have additional issues. The biggest the NEW storage place at home isn’t open yet! Where do we put the RV. It has to do with electric system. Now what?
We have to cancel or change our appts at mayo. We have to cancel our time share with $$ loss. We had to change next years cruise because of $$ changes.
El finally make arrangements to camp for 2 weeks in North Carolina until the new storage facility opens. So we pray.
Wow life sure sends curves at you. As long as your glass is half full you will get by.
