Today was so fun! I got up early because the cats are waking me at 7am! The nerve! Since El was sleeping I figured I would get up and feed the cats. Of course as I am feeding them he is on the stairs asking why am I feeding them? Really? I was letting u sleep. Argh!
I was off so I didn’t exercise, I know I usually don’t when we travel and have a long ride. So dressed and he made these scrambled eggs and put everything but the the kitchen sink inside. We added salsa and yummo!
He decided we would go for a ride to this other food store I read about. Since we don’t have to take Sani(sanibel for short our RV😁). We would take the scenic route!
Well it was like riding along old time route 1. We must have past a dozen really old motels but not chains! For example want to stay in a wigwam?
There were dozens of RV and Truck repair places. But small like 1 or 2 bays. Farms and fields go on forever. The homes were small. In fact the front door was so narrow I wondered how do heavy people get in?
We saw fields of cows in fact one came up to the fence to say hi!
We went to this store, I guess more like a warehouse. It was just like the store in Hersey! Except it wasn’t a designated aisle for cheap stuff it was scattered everywhere. Wagons full here and there! It was run by the Amish. but, we think they are Mennonites because we saw no horse and buggies. The deals were so insane, everything I bought pretty much was under a dollar. We are talking health food and international brands of stuff. I am glad we don’t have these stores in Palm Coast or near by. I would be in trouble!
We returned on a different country road and went thru the town of Horse Cave. It had to be over 100 years old. Old brick red bldgs and each store was individually owned no major stores, and the beautiful church right in the middle. History metal posts describing what happened here in town.
When we got back I had to rearrange our storage of goods. I’m surprised we can move at all!😂😂
Well for dinner I made a grilled leg of lamb! Wow it was so delicious!
After dinner we listened to the President at his rallies. He is a character indeed. I hope we can vote early. But I fear the storage place will not get done in time!
I read my book some more. I think I read it before. I don’t remember the ending and it’s bugging me and so I will read to the end. Ever do that? Is it a sign of aging? I’m older now!
