I have nothing to add for oct 26 it was a boring day of nothing!
Today Oct 27 I thought we were leaving for Georgia! But no there is a hurricane coming across Georgia and we are on hold till it passes.
Depressed! Our storage place will probably get the gate in by the end of the week. We still need the county to approve which is next week!
That means I can’t vote! Words fail how I feel! Devastated!
But leaving here is postponed until Friday. Now we have to get fresh veggies . So we go out to Bi-Rite another amish store. Cheap as ever, but this one the dates are 2019 for many things, as other Amish markets have more dented cans. But, it is fun to shop for pennies. Really an entire cart for $60. What will I do when I come home!
Then we went to IGA. It’s a small grocery store. At least there I was able to get eggs, broccoli, onions cheese, tomato.
Both were close to the camp site so it wasn’t so bad. I managed to put everything away don’t ask how I have no idea.
Dinner was a crazy treat! I made ink squid pasta, mussels in white wine and broccoli and stuffed clams! Big yummo, with white wine,!
It took a while to figure it all out cause you can only use 2 cooking modalities at one time. I needed three, induction cooker, microwave and toaster oven. But it was worth the time!
Well we watched some tv but it’s the same stuff every time. The news is always on. I can’t take it. Especially since I know I can’t be home to vote!
Well it promises to rain for 2 days here. How chilly and boring. At least we are leaving Friday when the forecast goes at night to 35 degrees! I don’t do 35.
Luv ya for hanging in there and stopping by. Something else got fixed today. An electric wire that wasn’t working as it should. But there’s a camp mechanic and he figured it out. The brakes seem to quit working when we stop and it’s an electrical issue. I figure that is what was fixed. I’m not electrical smart as you can tell. But, as long as it’s fixed I’m in!
I’m done for today and will go read my next book. I didn’t much care for the butterfly garden. Now I’m reading AJ Filkelry, something like that, but it’s interesting.
