Sometimes I have to write the entire day date and year or you have no idea!
Today was the first full day in Gettysburg campground. It looks the same to me but to El he can tell that gravels been added, a specific site was added or made bigger or even if a bare dead limb was cut! But he can’t tell you where Mt Vesuvius is located! You either? Oh vey!
We split a yummy waffle for breakfast! I brought my iPad outside and sat at the table it was so quiet and shady except for the birds. Not even kids yelling! It’s the quiet before the storm.
El wanted to go the the giant food store. It’s not the same as the one in MD. The liquor wine dept was so expensive! Gnarly head a brand we like was $12.99. We get it for $7.99! Others too were way over priced.
We drove thru Gettysburg to get to the store. I tried to take some pictures but I screwed it up. I will go again it’s close. It seems a lot of stores had changed hands. Not surprising. it’s pretty crowded.
We decided to go into Walmart to get a pot and dirt. I brought my wandering Jew plant and it’s crammed into its pot it needs a bigger one. They had only huge ceramic. We saw a tent in front of Micheals with plants. Give it a try. The girl had one plastic pot the size I need and it was filthy I gave her $2 and a huge bag of dirt was $5. A good deal.
I left my parsley and basil outside my fence. Please if you want some take it just bring a little water and put some on my avacado tree too! Thanks. I was hoping it would get water if I left it outside the fence.😢
We have been looking for smoked whitefish. Publix says they CAN order but don’t. We miss it. They had a bunch of it at Giant and I bought 3 packages and they run over $10.00 each! I can splurge where I want to, I’m retired! oh they had the robot wondering for spills.
We saw a wine and liquor store in the same strip mall so decided to see what they had. We ended up with Mcgillicuddy’s cherry and root beer! We got gin, and some wine. Good stop!
I put stuff away and we decided to go for a walk. Earlier coming back we saw the smallest RV I got to get a picture! I forgot my water arm sling. A knitted gizmo where you can put a bottle of water and hang it on your shoulder.😫 now I have to carry it. El had a comment for each site and the trailers. Some of the RVs are over $150,000. Yup! Imagine!
Well by the time we got back our site, it was no longer in shade but hot sun. it was getting late. We had some Mcgillicuddy’s, it was delicious! I made sausage onions and peppers in a wrap for dinner.
I sat and watched tv for a while. El was in his element talking outside with all the folks. He came back later. While gone I ate all the snacks I could find chips, chocolate and a ginger bread cookie! I will pay for it tomorrow.
Thanks for coming along. I will straighten out my picture taking. And I will try and make my blog more on a schedule. Sorry if that’s been a frustration for anyone besides me.
