This day is an eat feast! we got and dressed we had two events today. Visit El’s mom. Then visit Els college roommate at clydes for dinner.
First mom, she is my hero! This lady is 93 years old and she drives she bakes and cooks everyday. In fact Els 2 brothers live in Rockville and both pick up food from her to eat.
She plays cards, marhjong, goes to plays at the theater! She lives in a beautiful apt. In fact we ate lunch on the roof. They made a beautiful area with couches, table, BBQ, and tennis courts off to the side. Oh she played until she was 82!
We picked up sandwiches at Izes, rubens, it was delicious! I ate half. Mom made treats, candy chocolate with orange flavor, chocolate cookies, and poppy seed cake! Yummo!
It was great to seat and visit with her. We really get the opportunity because the entire family is not there and they all can talk! So it was special. We will meet with the entire family Monday, Memorial Day. It got hot outside so we came in and sat on couches set off from the hall. Everyone who passed knew her. She has been in the bldg some 33 years!
She does puzzles and gave me two of them. I would like to do some when it’s a slow day.
We then met his college roommate at clydes tower in Rockville. In fact my college roommate’s son started as a chef there and grew to an executive chef! Pretty awesome!
Another opportunity to eat! I had to order Guinness beer from draft my favorite. Then I ordered mussels, it was in a heavy tomato sauce with bacon, onions and other stuff! Very good and it was gone! Then I ordered a beet salad, I ate half and was done! El and his roommate had sandwiches. They were big!
It was a nice visit I don’t think they have seen each other in quite some time. He has a home in west palm beach and showed us pictures as he is redoing it. Wow it’s beautiful, gone all out on the place! Maybe we can see it sometime.
We came home just as it was getting dark we have one head light out to be fixed tomorrow. We got home feed the cats, saw the winner of the Voice and caught most of the end of this is us. I fell asleep. I use to follow it but over time started loosing interest.
