Oh yes today is shopping day at the Lancaster outlets! I use to love going there when my kids were in school and take them to buy school clothes. It was fun.
We got up had breakfast and went of course it was after Noon. Hey that’s an early start for us ok!
We first went to the tangier outlets. Oh boy has it grown! It would take days to go in all the stores. It is huge and I must say happily it is filled and there were folks shopping. Compared to Gettysburg outlets which were so depressing to see so many stores gone.
So what did I buy? There were no bargains? 😱I was shocked! I went in and out of stores and nothing 20%, 40%. I ended up with 2 shirts from Eddie Bauer! That’s it, he got 1 nice shirt, oh and I got a kitchen tongs and a coffee mug.
Then we went to the other outlet Rockvale. If there were 10 stores there it was a lot! It was so very sad to see. The windows boarded up of so many stores. Then we recalled other single outlets but didn’t see them either!
I got a sweatshirt and shorts, weird combination, and it looks like snowflakes, I know and it cost $44.00, I know but it was cute and I liked it! Hey I’m retired and buy whatever I like! So ha I’m laughing too and he was why are you buying this?
Oh the drive there we took the back roads which were windy and we saw all sorts of homes and farms. Here are some pics
When we were leaving he got so excited about these two things of which he knew exactly what they were and what was their use! I swear he was a farmer in another life!
And you know we are in Amish land when this goes buy
We got back it was about 7ish so I took out a cauliflower pizza and cooked sausage, onions, peppers, mushrooms, garlic and put it on top and that was dinner. Oh I added spinach to the top with grated cheese. He has to have his greens every night. It’s a healthy idea just a pain in the butt!
Oh it was the most beautiful day sunny no humidity gorgeous it is about time. This is why we came here in the first place!
