Friday the 13th Elkhart

The night was long we slept inside the RV in the mechanics garage. Creepy! But we had electric but water only from jugs😩

However we woke up and there was a rush to close it up for them to do repairs. They start at 6:00 that’s am! The noise frighten the cats I think they lost one of their 9 lives! Smokey got in a hole by the side of the mattress I thought we were not going to get him out! The other went as far back on the desk chair. You know that area is packed with stuff! But, we got them out put them in the truck and waited for the repairs. By 8am we were on our way. We were so fortunate on this day to find a bunch of outstanding mechanics. They were meticulous in their work, they were very competent in what they did. And they took us in! And they are very busy. The garage holds 7 gigantic buses!

We called the campground and woke the owner. They don’t open until 10am. He went to get in the office and the guy looked out the window to see who it was waking him this early! But, we got a spot set the cats up and were on our way. Lots to do today.

First we to the drug store to pick up his prescription. On the way we are not sure what happen but 7 police cars on the corner where we had to pass.

Then since this was Amish town we saw a young girl eating an ice cream cone and a boy with her on their bikes. Sooo sweet!

We then went to Aldis. We had to by all the greens, lettuce, string beans, asparagus, Brussels sprouts did I leave any out? Oh they had stuffed mushroom yummo!

Then we were on our way to martins a nice grocery store. Since it’s RV town Manufacturing, we saw 3 RVs at once on a truck! Crazy!

Oh I forgot one important stop the butcher Johns in Nappanee! A treasure. I of course wanted everything. However, the steaks were very expensive. I think like $14.00lb. But, I did get the pork tenderloins, chops, boneless. We didn’t even get ground meat it was also expensive. I ended up spending $75.00 not bad!

I finally found fennel in Martins. It is on the order of Whole Foods or Trader Joe’s. Everything is set up nicely.

We got back to the campground and noticed that there were a bunch of LUX fifth wheels around us camping. Now a Lux RV is one of the most expensive running around $200,000. Not to mention the out of sight gorgeous trucks that pull them which are another $100,000. Very impressive.

Look at that truck!
Lux are huge over 40 feet and weigh over 40,000 lbs!

Well I fell asleep on the couch. We came back around 3ish. I woke in time to make dinner. Too tired to start something new. We had the stuffed mushrooms and fresh ravioli with spinach and ricotta and sauce. Yummo!

We watched the news and went to bed. Thanks for stopping by. Be safe!
