We wake up at 6am. We get dressed pack our stuff up into the suitcases. We go down for breakfast which is a tiny wrapped cheese and veggie omelette.
We go back to our room and get our suitcases and come down. We tell the hotel we are leaving the car and they didn’t ask for money! yippee!
We take the shuttle to the airport. The ride was fine about 30 minutes. We get our passes for the plane and put our big suitcase on the plane! $30.00 charge! We are so use to a free bag on intercontinental flights!
We make it to the airplane the customs check and baggage check were long but moved quickly!
We then had to catch the tram to the gate. No problem. We got out and walked to the gate. It was fine just time consuming. Then we are all approved are going ahead. We get on the plane 3 seats across. I’m stuck in the middle and he takes the end. They served drinks twice. They gave us pretzels, a bag of about 8. Then cookies 2. Luckily I brought snacks. But we didn’t eat much. The ride is 6 hours! I did a sudoku , finished a book, saw a movie called book owner libraries, something like that, It was interesting for a while. I guess I’m out of it because I didn’t recognize any of the movie names. Am I getting too old?
We get to the airport and can’t find the buss to the car rental. I finally ask someone and we get on a huge line. We got on the second bus. It took us to this enormous gigantic bldg. it had every car rental in the bldg! The line to thrifty was out the door, huge long ridiculous. We were about 20th in line. The entire process took nearly 2 hours!
So we get our car! Really? It’s a Chevy spark. Seriously our luggage barely fit! Forget that we barely fit! You should of heard him drive it was hilarious! This is going from our big truck and RV to a tiny car!
We finally get to the hotel Hilton Home 2suites. Our room well the first night was nicer. Here it’s one huge room, kitchen, living room and bedroom all in one., we settle in here it’s 4:00 for us it’s 7:00pm.
Ah the best part my son comes to the hotel. I hugged him and I couldn’t let go. He looks great! His head is troubled just quiting his job. But it was so great to see and talk with him.
We went to dinner in a pub in a tiny town. I’m telling you you blink you miss it. We talked and talked but we are so tired. He drove us back and we will get together again tomorrow. It will be hard to leave. I love him sooo much.
