I woke up late almost 10am took a shower. I fell in the shower, knocked my brains out on the wall and tried to mate my knee with the water drain. He came to help me up. After a few minutes I realized my brain was just scattered rather than knocked out. Actually I started to get a headache but as soon as I rinsed off and got dressed by the time we ate our bagels and fish I was ok. It’s such a scary thing to fall. I get my chances more than most. I guess that’s why I think when I’m going down, this is the bad one! But, I keep on ticking! Someone is watching over me..or I hope so!
Anyhow, I went on too long there! I packed the big suitcase. I also packed a food bag. We go out for a ride. I want a wood carved bear. We ride and took a left and found a carver. He had these little bears and some big and medium one but some had some fun, like blue eyes!
I looked at all of them and fell in love with one! He has a whimsical fun about him! I’m not giving it away! Those who know me will see it at my home and I hope will smile. Unfortunately, the man who helped us informed us to keep it inside. The weather in Florida will kill it! But it stands by itself. Thank goodness I’m so out of wall space! Ha
The man who helped us said we came at the right time to see the leaves. I agreed it’s spectacular! I wish I can display them all.
We decided to drive along another street of pigeon forge. The crowd of people was insane. The traffic was flying at 10mph. I never saw so many hotels, inns, cabins, restaurants, wine and moonshine in a few blocks. Parking lots charge $20.00 and they are packed. Imagine the summer!
We got back to our room. I had some bourbon, peach variety on 2 rocks😊. We headed out the dolly pardons stampede show and dinner theater. It was packed the stadium holds 1100 people. The dinner was a tiny chicken, a cup of soup you drink, unless u ask for a spoon! Then a biscuit was added which was good. Then a slice of overcooked pork, I thought it was bread! Then a potato, I didn’t like it. While you eat the show goes on.
It’s cute enough. I think it’s for kids. It had a Christmas theme. The horses competed in cute little games. It was fun I guess. I enjoyed the music ones better.
We came back and it’s our last night. I’m tired for sure but it was a nice vacation. Now we will be home soon. We are going to an early thanksgiving party the day after we get back. After that we can rest until January.
I forgot to mention the man who sold me my bear reminded me soo much of my son on the west coast. He was a fairly laid back , a free spirit.
Well it’s time to get some sleep. Tomorrow will be a long ride. We will stay over somewhere on the way back.
I hope you enjoyed coming along on this trip to the smokies. It was fun and while we did a lot, depending there is still much more. We will be back, maybe with the RV.
