We hardly did anything for New Years. Yesterday we had to take a home COVID test. The test takes less than two minutes The nose swab. Then a 15 min wait for results. You do it in a visual so someone is watching every step. They are from India. Probably still there because I could not understand a word they said. It took 3 hours to get us both done. We were beside ourselves! I didn’t pack at all because what’s the sense if one of us have a positive result! So I started packing around 4pm. What’s worse is making triple sure you have the necessary documents, shots, boosters passport, retest . I was also watching the country music New Year’s Eve. For me it was great! Only if you love country music. He went to sleep. I woke him to say happy new years.
The next morning we pack the day stuff. We went slow we can’t check into the hotel until 4pm. We get it together and drive down. A few points he traffic slowed up. Two people in the middle of the hywy with police no car! Caused a big slow down.
We get to the hotel wow it’s right on the beach. We go to check in. We get someone in training. It would have been ok but the trainer wasn’t sure about stuff. Oh vey! It was painful. He kept asking to enter my credit card and I told him three or more times it’s on file. He wanted to charge us for parking. But, no we are diamond and it’s free. You get the idea.
The room is nice and you can see the ocean very pretty and they have a nice big pool. We get set in our room. We got coffee and then opened the bottle of wine we brought. We decided before we left we would bring soup for dinner. Big oops! I got the spoons and bowls BUT where’s a can opener? We got down stairs they opened the can and we were fine. Watched some foot ball and finished the wine.
