We went to breakfast no one was wearing a mask. made it weird. I got a little eggs and 4 little waffles from a machine you flip while it cooks. Then I took coffee and a chocolate muffin up to the room.
We signed up for the last shuttle 12:15. We had Time so I went to see emails. We are suppose to come 2 hours late at 2:30 to board ship. Well we got a flash email, don’t know how, but it said see you at 12-12:30! We get a call from the front desk they added a bus cause a lot of folks got the email to come 2 hrs late! No one got the flash! Confusion! We were told we are the only ones going on the 12:15. So be it.
We get on the bus there was 1 other couple. The other couples were going on a Disney ship. OMG the Disney line was out of control hundreds were waiting in line probably close to 1,000 people.
We got off at Royal carribean harmony of the seas. It was such a pleasure. We strolled right thru. We didn’t wait on line it was crazy! At one point I was asked to show my vaccine cards and couldn’t find them! I was shaking. They fell out of my passport into the bottom of my bag. But we went thru the luggage line and the health line and the passport line and within 30 minutes we were on the ship!
We then went to sign up for entertainment. Most we already saw but what else is there to do? So they signed us up for various shows. I’m not techy. They have to do it for me.
Then we went to our room. Unpacked and went to the windjammer lunch buffet. Oh they had a seafood cup yummo! Then a rice with seafood. Can’t spell it. It was dry. Then dessert a chocolate roll delicious! Then we see the special RCI cake with chocolate. 1 piece was for 2.: I ate all of them.
We went to the my time dining and requested 6:30 for dinner. We then requested our waiter from 2 weeks ago. after waiting a few minutes they were able to get our waiter and 6:30 , money talks. We requested it before we left two weeks ago!
We then found our room on the 11th floor in the middle of the ship. We are moving you can feel it on the higher decks. So we decide to take a walk around.
We get four free drinks. I forgot to mention at lunch I had a mai-ti. The fruity thing with rum. It actually tasted like rum! Usually it’ has so little rum you can’t taste it.
Then before dinner we went to our favorite bar boots &? Anyhow they make a drink with burbon that’s yummo! I can’t think of the name.
Then we went to dinner we got our favorite waiter. He remembered what we like so nice to have a great waiter. We had an antipasto with all the fixings you can think of, meats, cheese, fruit slices. It was great! We of course ordered wine. Dinner for me was onion soup with loads of melted cheese, then my main dish was polenta, but it had melted feta cheese with grilled veggies like zucchini, peppers, tomatoes olives yummo! Dessert was some walnut chocolate cake.
Then we walked around and ended up in the theater. Before the comedy started, I ordered a gin and tonic with lime. My 4th for the day. The show had two different comedians. One very large man making fun with the words of songs. Or engaging the audience fo a joke. He wasn’t funny. The second guy we both could not understand what he was talking about so the humor failed on us. But we didn’t hear the audience hysterical either. Really First bad show in a while.
We were both pretty tired so when it was over we went to sleep.
