After breakfast we take a walk and pass the jewelry store. Just looking. He found this beautiful pendant. Hard to describe like a hammered barrel in rose gold with a ring of diamonds around that spins! I love it!It made by ka…can’t spell the name.
We got up on the late side we were tired. We got dressed and the buffet had closed for breakfast. So we went to the solarium on the 15th floor. It is smaller less crowded and there is spaces. Okay so in reality the ship holds 6000 passengers. We have I believe 3231 passengers half. There are no crowds. In fact the only crowd is by the water playground with young kids. We haven’t looked but I gather the rock climbing and board surfing is full with high school and college kids. we notice a lot of them on board.
We then went to the art auction. The same guys know us. It’s nice to be remembered on the ship. We went thru the auction and , I know it’s hard to believe I may not have bought anything. Well maybe..
After the auction we came back to the room because I won a raffle. Lanyards to hold your room key. I have them already! I also got a entire pack of copied paintings.
We put that in our room and went to lunch. We didn’t eat much. He had soup and I had a rare roast beef sandwich. Then I had to have dessert. I got a Carmel moose yummo!
We came back to our room to change for dinner. It’s formal. Not like it use to be. I bet I even see shorts. There no longer are ties and suits and gowns..I am embarrassed I did not bring black pants just leggings and I forgot dress shoes just sneakers. So I put on a nice shirt with black leggings and blue sneakers. We went to take pictures. Formal night professional picture takers are set up everywhere. We get two free so we went and posed for 24 pictures. Lucky we went when we did cause on the way to dinner there were lines all over.
We went to dinner. Women were wearing gowns, some sparkly. The young college high school girls who were skinny wore elastic wraps. Even the larger women wear the wraps. The clothes could not be tighter.Oh and mini skirt were so high. Our mouths hung open.
We get to the dining room and are told our waiter is sick. We are sad we went to so much trouble to get him. We feel bad. But, everyone stepped up to replace him. Really, The waiter assistance came and started with water, bread, wine service and menus. Another came to take our order, another cleared our dishes and the head waiter checked several times if we are doing well. I had calamari, duck l’orange, and grand Montere soufflé for dessert. Excellent with wine.
We stopped at the jeweler because he stopped me to tell me he had earrings to match my pendant. But he wanted too much money.
Then we went to the art area I put a bid in but didn’t want to buy it. But , never say never.
We had time before the show so we went for a drink. I had a dark &smokey. A ginger beer and rum. I had ginger beer somewhere and it’s refreshing and with rum it was delicious.
We then went to the show a Las Vegas singer.. He was very entertaining and sang all sorts of stuff like rock, Elton John, billy Joel but he was very good. We ordered our third drink. When he was done we went to here the guitar player at the bar we like. He is like no one else we have ever heard he is beyond amazing. We had our 4th drink a Guinness in a big can. It was delicious! We also ate pizza at 11pm and you wouldn’t believe the line. All young folks. The guitar player sold his CD and we bought one.
It is finally time to sleep.
