The last day of the cruise. We hear pounding knocks on our door.. Then the phone started ringing. I was half asleep. He just got up at 9am. I answer and I’m told to get out of the room or stay in for 45 mins now. Wow what a way to wake up!
We throw on clothes whatever is close. We go to breakfast and it is crowded. We eat wondering what the hell happened? I had my favorites since there will be no such stuff when we get home. I had muesli, smoked salmon, fruit bowel and chocolate croissant! Yummo!
We decide to go and get good coffee at the diamond lounge. Then we went to the room got ready for the beach. Go thru the line and step outside and I was nearly blown off the gangway! There were many clouds. He said it’s too dangerous to go to the beach.
So we went back toward the room. I walked around ship and asked a lady where the “beach club pool” is located. She told us and we went. But it was so windy.
I decided to try the solarium.. it’s partly walled. I found a seat and waited for my 15 mins of sun. But, no it was cloudy even when I turned my chair. Argh! I wanted my 15 mins of sun!
We went back to our room. However, I did ask this passenger, a young guy, If he went to the beach. He said it was extremely windy and the water was ruff. I felt better. We went to our room. I finished the blog from the day before. Then I read some more of the book. Eventually we got dressed for dinner. Before that I packed our big suitcase and left it outside our door.
We went to dinner and ate lamb chops. It’s one of my favorite foods. Dessert was tiramisu yummo! we said our good bye to Martin our assistant waiter and Joute our waiter so cute. They were. Great.
Then we went to pick out our pictures. We got , 2 for free and we bought a package of 5. Who knows what we will do with them!
Then we went down to say good bye to the art people. Ralph, Cayde and Sean a great bunch of guys. They brought out the painting I loved. A couple walked by and just commented how beautiful it was. I beamed!
We had a drink before dinner and wine at dinner. So that leaves two more, we stopped at boots for ginger beer and dark rum. Then we went to the piano bare but no player? My final drink lemon drop martini. Time to go to sleep. We are done cruisin for now. But, I will not say never again!
Well thanks for taking the cruise with us. Tomorrow is home.I may not have another blog post until May when we pull out in our RV. See ya then.
