May 20,21,22. Friday sat and Sunday

I am not usually this late on my blog. I’m just getting to tired to write it, or forget. I’m getting older, that’s a good excuse eh?

So let’s see what I remember of Friday. I remember it was super hot. But, living in Florida gives a new meaning to hot. Like 90 without drench in humidity is Fl that’s the big difference.

We decide too brave the storm reports and go. It wasn’t doing anything just sun. We went and bought a few things and decided to get back.

While walking around we ran into the metal man who looks for issues like spills or broken jars. cute huh?

We did our shopping and it rained on the way back, but not the doom they were predicting. I got some photos of the battlefield but up loading is troubling.

The pictures upload. Yippee! The top one is the battlefield cannons,

The next is a stone front house. Ok I know it’s crooked but still pretty nice!

The next one shows the people who ride a horse thru the battlefield. Ok

The last is the cross fencing on part of the battlefield.

We got back to the RV. Funny how you leave and get back, put things away and it’s now time to make dinner. The day is gone.

After dinner I set up my table I’m working on separating all the chicken recipes.

However it got late and I went to bed.

Saturday, May 21, we are going to visit my friends who live in MD. So I took a shower. It was a bit difficult trying not to wet my excised arm, I believe was the term for the surgery. We stopped at Sams in Fredrick for gas which was packed with lines crazy! But, it was under $5.99 for diesel. It’s scary the price of the stuff going up. We went into sams we didn’t get much I forgot why we went in the first place?

We went on to our friends it’s weird to drive the roads you knew like the back of your hand. The changes to the roads. The bldgs of new housing or stores. We got to their home with no issues. It is so great to see your friends. The time flew. They even had ginger beer and bourbon for us! We learned to drink that on one of our cruises.

We went out to dinner to a restaurant called CAVA. It is Greek. We had burnt cheese, which was excellent. We had gyros, meatballs and spinakopita. It was so fun and the food was so good. Well, the cats have to eat, so it was time to leave. I wish they would move to Florida. I love their golden retriever, Polly, she is 14 yrs bless her, but she is showing her age.

When we got home and fed the kids, I was so tired and went to sleep.

That brings us to Sunday, May 22. A day of rest we have no where to go. The prediction of thunderstorms off and on all day. The heat was in the 90s and a bit humid so I figure it will rain. So I had my bagel and smoked whitefish.

Then I went to work on separating my chicken thigh recipes, like bone in and skin on, or bone in skinless, or no bone or skin. Then how are they cooked? Baked, sauté skillet, braised, slow cooker? I enjoy it. It’s clearly not for everyone.

Before dinner El decided it’s not going to thunder. We went for a walk. A quarter of the way the sky behind us got black and we could hear thunder. But we were not in rain so we decided to keep going but cut the walk short. We made it back but we could still hear the thunder.

It was dinner time so I reheated the pork tenderloin and it still is amazing. I added some gravy from before. I added green beans and chickpeas in an Indian sauce. Yup, the rain came a little thunder and didn’t last long. El, was on the phone and it is hard to hear when the rain is pounding on the roof it is so incredibly loud!

Then I went back to sorting chicken recipes. I finally sorted it now I have to mount it on paper and label it. I’m watching Wipeout on TV! It’s crazy and funny!

Well that’s my summer so far! It’s chill! But that’s ok! Thanks for stopping by!
