The day was grey and sun. Since it wasn’t raining we decided it’s a great day to go for a ride to the food store Price chopper
We ate breakfast and decided to go. It was an interesting drive thru the mountains they are so pretty. First we saw a baby deer. You know the ones with the white spots. So cute! Of course I was not fast enough with my camera to take a picture. Argh!
Then we drove more and maybe we found deer dad? He was big and had horns. That’s rare to see. I had my camera and caught a picture but just as I snapped he lowered his head behind a tree! Is that a day indicator?
We drove on and that bad storm a few days ago. Wow! We saw trees literally spit down the middle! Crazy! We saw a bunch of trees falling but they got caught on trees standing. A rather frightening storm.
We eventually got to the store. It is so nice everything is spread out and aisles are wide. The bakery is big and they make a bunch there including the bagels! I sadly had to walk away. The fish dept had a bunch of thick cut wild fish. We bought cod and flounder. Still a bit pricey but we eat wild fish.
We then walked around to the meat dept. There were butchers actually chopping beef in a huge area behind the counter. How many stores do that with a butcher?
We were done with that shopping and back on the road. We decided to go to odd lot. A store where you never know what they have there. Their prices can’t be beat. I got an apple slicer for the rv, and a grater. .99 cents each!
Then luckily they had dividers for my cook books. I don’t think I got enough but it’s a start. I was glad to get them as well as two more notebooks. They are getting heavy.
Well we got back and it was dinner time. I made shrimp in a skillet with butter lemon and white wine! Delicious! I made quinoa and rice combo with green beans. Great dinner. So no lbs lost but at least I stayed the same.
I have a son with diabetes that’s out of control. So bad his doctor said he will age 5 years every year he lives if he doesn’t start insulin. We will see. Pray he starts taking his insulin for him. Thanks
Thank God his kidney that I gave him is still working well. 17years!
That’s it for today. I hope this day was a little more interesting. I still haven’t figured out the pictures. So very sorry😨
Hope you have a nice weekend. Thanks for stopping by.
