It doesn’t matter where we are for this day was miserable, IT WAS SUPPOSE to be one night. We pulled in to our spot. El noticed water dripping from the RV.
He starts to figure it out. OMG! He for over an hour was working inside the RV trying everything he could to find the issue. He took out plastic buckets of hoses and hookup stuff to find the reason.
Finally after a long while and much frustration and work he figured it out. By then he was beside himself. He showed me the part that was dripping. Yeah!
But OH NO! The compartment where the battery is started humming this loud noise! Xgry =&’,! Can’t write all the words that were said! But you get it! After trying this and that which was nuts because I was in the RV with ghost, the white cat, and the RV started moving up and down and banging it was scary!
I went out side and he was checking wires and all sorts of stuff with no results. For him, who is a walking encyclopedia for RVs I could see the anger coming out of his ears! He finally called a 24 hour mobile mechanic. He told him to try some stuff but he wasn’t available tonite. 24 hrs? Ha!
He kept saying we will have no water and no electric. Not a good thing! Now the lights are out and it is dark in this RV. Ghost kept ma, ma,ma, walking back and forth. I followed him!
Then after I don’t know how many hours he figured out what was wrong. He told me but I’m useless with this stuff. I’m like a car. Put the key in and go. I don’t know anything about how it works!
He says the wire to the RV brakes were the issue and the noise stops and the lights come on. Yeah for that one!
He tells me he is going to Lowes. I go he puts the address in the gps and we are driving and it says Cincinnati! Oh! I forgot my phone, a rare moment! I almost always have it with me now but don’t always hear it in time to answer. I know I’m not good on phones. A bad thing I know.
I take his phone and plug in the address and co-pilot the truck to the store. Then we can’t find the part so we get someone to help. Oh no, he doesn’t have the part! So we get back to the RV. He tries until darkness to fix it. We have no water but a gallon jug. I know better than say its fine, we will make do. We did come from tents before this glamping RV!
At 9:30pm we are eating left over chicken, nuked Brussels sprouts and a microwave bag of lentils. Plus wine. He added straight bourbon! Can’t blame him! At least we have lights and the fridge has power.
So that was the events of the day. I prefer starring at my puzzle pieces figuring out where they go!
I forgot to mention before we headed to south Indiana, we went to our RV. mechanic to fix our A/C, a light, and my chair bottom which was falling out! And we thought that was it! We are good to go! Boy were we wrong!
Tomorrow we leave for Kentucky! Hopefully that will be a smooth ride.
Thanks for stopping but as you can see not all days are perfect!
