I didn’t want to have breakfast cause we are going to a family lunch. My husband’s family is still in MD and it is a treat to go see them. So I had some fruit to go with all my meds for the morning.
My husband was nervous and did not want to be late. So we left and we had some traffic on the hywy but when we got off it is another story. Rockville is built up like crazy big buildings everywhere. The traffic on Sunday was intense.
We stopped at petco to get food for Mr Ghost. Parking was bad lucky we had the handicap pass, but he had trouble because the truck is too long for a spot. We ran in, got the food, and ran out.
We got to my mother in laws place at 12.:45. The arrival time was to be 1pm. We were fine. We get there, and to park the truck, we had to nearly drive on the walkway. The truck is so long!
We got there, and her bldg has a lovely place on top with BBQ and tables with trees. We took a table, and his sister picked up delicious sandwiches. Pastrami with cheese on Rye Heated! Yummo! His sister made a very good coleslaw and brought low sodium chips, which were good too! It was a lovely afternoon. Unfortunately, only one brother came. The other is in Florida. So it was good to see everyone. His mom made a chocolate cake for us, which is always special, it is yummo!
We left there and went to Aldis across the way. We got the things we needed, but they dont have the self checkout. So we had to wait but all is good. We found the hywy and drove back to the campsite.
Once settled and cat feed, we decided to eat the leftover beans and sausage. I made there was not a lot left. Then we ate the chocolate cake his mom gave us yummo!
It turns out there is a REI store on the pike. I’m interested cause my son works there in WA state. I didn’t think there were any stores in the east coast, who knew?
Well, I’m getting tired it was a long but lovely day. It was good to see family. His mom is amazing she is 98, and you would never believe it. She is great!
