I was too tired to write one yesterday. Since the days were similar I decided to combine them. I have been complaining, I want to go to the outlet stores. You never know what you will see and buy.
Both days we started out and went to the big Giant supermarket. We had a list and bought what we needed and brought it back to the campground and put it away. Then we took a drive over to the outlets. They are very close maybe a 15 minute drive. There were few cars, even more surprising so many of the stores were closed down. It was a big wow. We parked our truck and the first stop was a moonshine store with tastings. But, of course we tasted quite a few and the lady was so friendly talking, no one else was there! Moonshine was about $27.00 a bottle. We ended up not getting any.
We went into Eddie Bauers store it is fairly big. We walked all around and honestly they had really nice polar fleece jacket and tops but I have a few and do you really need them in Florida? There were lots of rain coats, I got that last year from REI where my son works. There were also those tight-fitting leggings. I just wish I looked a whole lot better in that kind of pants, so i did not get any. But, he found a nice polar vest with leather binding and a nice light weight pair of pants.
Then we went into Columbia outlet. I like their stuff alot, Tons of winter jackets for a steal. But again in Florida you don’t need them, But, I did find a nice pair of pants that rolls to capri length too and are a nice fabric. I also got a steal on those strap undershirts that you wear under another shirt. But, this one came with a bra so you can wear it outside. In Florida, or summer. So I was happy.
There was the book store but changed name and owner. Wow what a change. Many shelves and tables were gone. There were seats to read. However, the books were full price! Why would you put a full price bookstore in an outlet? No one came in when we were there. It’s been open 2 months? I suspect it will fail. Who pays full price for a book?
Then we went to the pepperidge farm outlet OMG! We bought all the things your not suppose to eat! If you bought $20.00, they took off 20%! Do you know how many $1.00 cookie bags you get. Given, buy one get one and other discounts. You have to buy many cookies! We left with 2 huge bags of cookies, chips , cheese fish, bread and stuffing! It was so much fun!
We came home put the stuff on a chair. The clothes we hung. I made fried flounder it came out good, but it didn’t stay together well so it ended up in pieces. Everything can’t be perfect!
Well that brings us to today, we got up because now it is a fuller campground and we have dogs on both sides. However, there are 3 behind us 2 labs and boxer. The labs are huge puppies and can they bark! Yup, it’s rude!
The Giant store has corn on the cob today 10 for $2.00! Yummo! I love the stuff. They also had watermelon $3.77. We got there and the corn table in the front door was nearly gone. I asked this lady if they are bringing more and she said go to the back there is another table! Oh boy, we picked our 10 from a full table! we restocked out laundry pods, got hotdogs and beans, gotta do that when camping at some point! Some limes for our bourbon and ginger beer mules. Don’t make a face until you have tried one! It’s a yummo!
so we finally get in touch with the other brother to see if he can come visit. He was in Florida when we went to visit his mom. It seems tentative between sat or Sunday. I would like to see him, he’s a good guy. We decided to go to a chinese buffet we discovered maybe a couple of years ago.
OMG! I ate for 5 people, First I started with shell fish, mussels great big ones, oh I ate them up, then clams with a cheese topping, yup ate those, then. Some spicy shrimp and a couple of crayfish.
That was plate one! Then to the sushi one of nearly each, then a regular egg roll and veggie one, stuffed mushrooms, fried shrimp, wonton, crispy wonton. Can’t remember any others.
No, I’m not done! I get a plate of Chinese dishes, chicken on a stick, pork BBQ, Kung pan chicken, some seafood salad, and then noodles. I was full but you must have desserts!
I had a piece of chocolate cake, and different chocolate cake, lemon cake, the puffed roll with cream, macaroon, sugar round doughnut and a bowl of ice cream. I can’t move!
we came back put things away and the campground is pretty crowded now! I made some phone calls. Realized I didn’t write yesterday so I can t let my blog go!
