I am excited to get up today as we are meeting my very great friends. I have known them like forever and always hope we can spend time together every time we are in gettysburg.
I used to live in another life, in Olney, MD, maybe for 25 years. Then I moved to Florida to retire. So I knew these friends while we were in MD and we have kept in touch the entire time. You have friends you know for a very long time? I have a few.
So we drove down to north Potomac MD. I think that’s what the area is called. They live in this huge wonderful home with 2 doggies. One is a golden retriever 15 yrs old! That’s amazing since my golden lasted 12 years. The other is this frankfurter dog. So cute.
We hung out and had some wine and went to a Chinese restaurant Mama wok. Not sure the town. The food was wonderful. We were the only whites, the rest were Chinese. Thats how you know the food is great!
We had all sorts of dishes, a shrimp dish, a chicken dish, noodles, mooshu pork, and 3 of us had hot and sour soup that was yummo! We ate till we were about to burst! But, i still had a container to bring back to the RV.
We went to the house and had these amazing dumplings. I bought them at the cotacton farm stand on rt 15. They got extremely expensive a pie ran about $18.00 really!
Well it was getting dark and I didn’t want him to drive all the way back in the dark. We left around 8:00pm. But, he was fine and we didn’t have any traffic going back to our campsite.
The only problem we had was when we got near our site, it was so dark! We drove thru any empty site and were able to figure out how to park. But, we know this campground, someone who didn’t, would be in trouble cause of the huge rocks at the end of the sites.
Well, we were fine but super tired it was an amazing day. I didn’t take any pictures. I am sorry about that we always do.

The first is a barn on the way to MD they are huge and are so nice to look at during the ride.
The second is the mountains. I tried to get how they looped from one another. The truck moves fast, so it’s hard to get the exact shot. But you get the idea, I hope?
The 3rd is the huge field of either wheat or hay, but they are everywhere here in PA. Even up in Lebanon,PA. Huge fields with nothing in site. In the sun, they are yellow and orange.
