I apologize that I haven’t written my blog in a couple of days. I do have pictures! Also for two days we have been shopping at the Amish stores and haven’t spent a fortune but have gotten HUGE amounts of food.
In fact I have the market on Jewish food, like matzoh, Farfel, matzoh ball soups, and this cookie i can’t pronounce! Then I have corned the market on oriental stuff too like veggie stir fry, rice noodles, soba noodles, pasta Thai noodles, and chili sauce, hosin sauce, soy, ginger sauce, noodles for soup, duck sauce and so much more. Oh, and don’t forget the Italian stuff every kind of tomato, diced, whole, sauce, crushed. Then pastas rotini, spaghetti, rigatoni, some others too. Then there’s the healthy rices, quinoa, brown, couscous, wild rice, and others.
Now to get all the above in one day, we went to Bi Rite Grocery and then R&S. It took four large boxes to put the food in. One has Carbo stuff, one the cans, one the junk food(it’s healthy though), one has broths, and one has bottles! OK so we are crazy! Probably. But, I do enjoy cooking and the prices are so rediculous! Less than half price. Like rice crackers the thin ones, .35, pastas 1-2.00, cans under a 1.00.
I spent $134 the first day on Monday. It took forever to organize it. I heated leftovers for dinner and passed out.
So I thought I purchased bulgur wheat! I went crazy happy when I found it. When I got home, there was none!
Some pictures of the day! We are in Kentucky, so there are horses

One Tuesday we went shopping again for the more immediate needs of food. Therefore, we went to a big town Bowling Green to stop at Aldis and Sam’s. In Sam’s, we wanted to pick up fish, and they were out! REALLY? We ended up getting cooked chickens. Then we went to Aldis and got broccoli, green beans, mushrooms, and veggie stuff.
Then we stopped at the liquor store where else would you get bourbon!
Then he was really nice and went back to the store where there was the bulgur wheat. I was happy the two bags were there. I must have put it in the wrong wagon. We may have picked up a couple other things but we are wiped out of room. It’s not funny! Haha
We had left over pork for dinner. I was so tried from running around for 2 days. I took some pictures
Corn forever growing

The second picture is the new corvette. The mfr is only located here in bowling green. Huge place to see. It was an impressive car!
The third picture is a place you can stay like a motel room only it’s in a teepee! They are not fabric! Looks pretty cool?
Now this brings you up to date for today is Wednesday. I have a day clock and I have to look every morning to check. Am I getting old or what!
Today is laundry day and I had just enough quarters in the bag. $2.50 for each, wash and dry. It’s quite the walk. There is a roof over the bldg and extends to create a little porch. Right in the corner was a birds nest and she kept coming back and feeding them. It was so very cute!
I did my laundry, and while waiting, we took a walk up this big hill. While I had to admit I stopped a couple of times, but I made it! I was so proud of myself. We relaxed and had a gin and tonic! It was good. Then I made dinner cod, green beans, and corn on the cob! LUV THE CORN!
He started to watch these old programs, Waltons, Bonanza, and some other old one. I can’t get into them. I tried to get thru my emails and such. It takes forever, and when you miss one day, it’s bad trying to catch up. I guess some of you know.
I have some pictures for today. I have never seen such tall sunflowers! Have you? It’s a wow for me!
The next is my tomato plants. They have been picked at for there diseased leaves but as you can see they are producing red tomatoes that are delicious!

Thank you for stopping by it means a lot since I missed a few days! I hope you’re having a good summer. Another month to go!
Take care, drink lots of liquid when it’s so hot and enjoy!
