What a day not everything goes as planned. We had a big breakfast, and the Hilton Tru is very ecology conscious. So we had eggs and bagels. They had an amazing pancake machine. I will try to move the picture on my phone. You wave a hand over a button and wait for a pancake at the other end! They had baby size muffins. It was fun. Then pack up for the trip to TN. We left South Carolina.
The traffic was in some places none, then in other places some but never bumper to bumper. We stopped for gas and bathroom breaks. We seem to be not communicating well. Everything I say he either doesn’t hear or ignores it. Sounds pretty common, right? Then, when I tell him something, he has to recheck to see if I am right! That’s driving me crazy! Is it me? A little of both. I really need my hearing aids and they came after I left!
He brought CDs what a great idea. I wish I would think of that cause he loves motown and I love country music. But that was fun.
So we finally get to the place Crest Laurel at Pigeon Forge. They put us near trees OK but right on the deck almost. We waited an hour for our keys. I meant the mountains. Oh, well. The colors are barely changing. We hit it right last year. So right off the bat, the ice maker didn’t work. Then they had a bag with additional bedding we didn’t need for the couch. He tried to put it on the shelf in the closet, and it fell out of the wall. It was not good, but the handyman was fine.
Then we had to go to Publix because I have no knowledge of where the eggs are? I remember packing them but not there? Then we tried to get organic blueberries, and no store had them at home. They had them here. We bought coffee but didn’t remember how the coffee container is ? Does it have mesh or use paper filters. Throw out $2.50 if it doesn’t need paper filter.
The traffic is ridiculous on the main road. The entire street is shows or stock or gimmicks some tourist thing. It’s crazy.
We got back put away everything totally exhausted I made quick steak and cheese sandwhichs. They were good but at 8pm is late for dinner.
Try to relax and pass out a very long day.

The drive was crazy zig zag roads up mountains and down big hills. He loved the drive. I know one of my sons would love it, too.
Well, thanks for coming back it fills my heart when folks read this blog. Thanks, be safe,
Enjoy!
