9/11/23 My birthday! Pigeon forge TN

First, thanks to all my friends and family who wished me well on my birthday! It fills my heart!

We got dressed and decided to just have a bagel with avocado. we had a busy day planned, which included dinner.

The timeshare gave us a day at the old mill! It’s been there since 1870 and has been operating since. We took a tour of the mill. Amazing how many flours they make and other ground things like corn, buckwheat. Plus they bag cereal, cakes flours, waffles, pancakes huge choice.

Then we went to the pottery store where they made their own stuff. Hands on with a wheel. Quite the operation.

Then we went to the distillery. They had at least a half dozen flavors to choose from to try. I didn’t like the ice, I had sensitive teeth, and a sip hurt my brain. I got up and dumped his full glass on the ground…paper cups. I felt terrible. Everyone said it’s OK. I got an uniced pineapple. The moonshine goes down so smoothly.

Then they took us to the back room to explain the distilling process and show the machine. It was interesting.

After that, we were taken to the restaurant owned by the mill. It was enormous. He got spare ribs, which were excellent. I got sirloin steak, which also was very good. No alcohol! Really? It was a fun day.

After we finished, we could not believe the huge line outside! The place was far from cheap. Dinners were say $24-34.00? For two people, it was like $100 when you’re done! Our timeshare picked up the bill!

It was a fun way to spend my birthday. Again, txs to all of you for your good wishes. I loved it.

Thanks again for stopping by to read my blog. I’m so ever grateful to have folks read it.

Take care and be safe and healthy!

Enjoy!
