We didn’t have to jump out of bed. There was no cat insisting on being fed and no litter to clean. It was nice. We had just fruit for breakfast because we were invited to a luncheon.
We walked over to the building since it wasn’t that far away. My hips are sore, but I’m working to get thru it.
We walked in, and there was a boat load of folks there. It was a buffet. There was pulled pork, beans, potato salad and coleslaw with chocolate chip cookies and tea. We got our food found a table with chairs and ate. The pulled pork was amazing. I went back for more!
Then, a young man in a suit and the cutest southern accent came to get us. I love listening to the southern accent. The words they use like everything is y’all. And I reckon that’s different .
He takes us to a special office, a room with a desk tiny table with chairs. So this is where we are told how much better life would be if we increase our ownership.
I must admit we have been to many of these talks, and he was the nicest guy. He provided us with some excellent tips on how to use what we have to do even more. Then this young girl walks in slaps 2 sheets of paper on the table and starts talking loudly at 100 words a second and pretty much asks if we understand and which upgrade we want to buy! Mind you to buy an upgrade is some $22500.00 yup! They will even lend the money!
However, we said no, and they returned our $50.00 deposit and said goodbye. It took pretty much the afternoon.
We went back to the room to unwind. Shortly after a thunder storm and torental rain came down.
Well I decided to make dinner and hope the electricity doesn’t go out. I brought shrimp and pad Thai noodles and sauce with added broccoli and we had dinner.
I watched TV and the storm was over. That was our day.
