Today is laundry day. However, it did not turn out like we expected at all. Since we weren’t going anywhere, he made omlettes for breakfast with half English muffin with avocado. Took our time packed up everything made sure we had the phone and computer and credit card. It’s an interesting mode to pay. You put your phone over the funny looking square. Then a dot shot up that you open and put the machine number add your credit card and your good to go. I know you knew this method without my techy explanation.
We walk up with the laundry bag, and I have those colorful little bags for washing. We stopped to talk to this couple with 3 little yappers. He talked on and on and on. Until I heard NO WATER? The lady described how only 2 showers open, the pool closed, and the laundry is closed! WHAT LAUNDRY CLOSED? we go to see if this is so and of course big sign closed..Who cares why!
In the truck to town laundromat. Not happy. It’s going north of the center of town. We get there, but where is the door ? Choice of 5 doors not labeled. We picked one, and the place was huge, walls of washers, different sizes , and dryers of all sizes. We pick 2 washers $2.75 each QUARTERS! NO, WE DIDN’T BRING QUARTERS! But of course they will gladly put you dollars in machines and give 4 quarters. Wash going. What to do with 45 mins?
There turns out when you look up a tiny connected store the size of my big bathroom, with 3 tables is a Mexican restaurant ad. It is inside with a very small store that is connected to a laundromat. One family owns all of it.
We go inside and eat the sale of the day, 5 tacos $10.00. It was very good. We switched to dryers but get this 25 cents for 5 minutes. So much for what we do with all these quarters. We took 2 dryers and put it on high for 15 mins. These commercial dryers are usually really hot. They were so good we got out pretty fast.
We got back, put away everything, and poured a glass of sherry. What a day we settle in, and he says, “What’s for dinner?” Really? I ate the leftover shofly piece of pie. He found a jar of soup. That’s how he stays thin.
I will add some pictures cause. We went north.

The main street and the little small shops in town. The above pictures are the houses which are huge it’s hard to get pictures when you moving but it was ah oh moments.
Thanks for stopping by to read my blog. The days ahead are full of friends and family so I’m excited to see who we can.
Stay healthy and enjoy!
