We woke up and had to remember we are one hour back ship time. But not the real time. Ok!
We went to breakfast at 9am, but it’s 8am on ship time. The buffet was packed with people. We found a table near the window, but on the floor was a circle glass window so you could look at the water below. It is weird. I ate muesli with all sorts of fruit that I could find, like strawberries, blueberries, grapes, and one banana. Then, in a separate bowl, my favorite kadota figs.
After breakfast we went to put internet on our phones. The lady at the guest services was a great help. We finally were on the internet. We then went back to the room. I forgot my pills for breakfast.
Then we went to a meeting of veterans on the ship. There was a big circle of about 25 people. They all started talking about what they did and what military group they were in. I tried to get up and leave. I was clearly not a part of this. I was in the wrong place. I tried to leave the group, and all these men said no stay. I felt embarrassed. They then 1 by 1 stood up and described where they served, when, where they live now. It was so interesting. They were so supportive of each other.
From there, we went to eat lunch even though I wasn’t hungry. I don’t need more food. Did I mention the chocolate croissant and blueberry muffin also at breakfast? Well, now eggplant parmaean, focacia bread then calamari. I can’t go without dessert so I got teramisu, and a chocolate brownie. I could not move.
However, we got up and managed to go to the art auction. No, I didn’t get anything. For those who have been to my house, it’s an art gallery. I did for a while go insane so we do have quite the collection of Marcus Glen, Tarkay, Daniel Wall, Kransansky, and much more. But, I enjoyed going to it anyway.
Then we went to Effy to get a charm. I tried on my double panther ring I was surprised to see it. It’s $10,000.00. Mine has an emerald in it.
There were so many people and jewelry it’s pretty. But, to be fair, I like, no love, what I own.
We went back to the room, and the sun was on our balcony. I changed to my sun clothes and went outside. I got maybe 20 mins, but it felt good. Have to get ready for dinner. It’s supposed to be chic the word for dressy tonight. We do not do dressy. But so few do. We went to dinner casual. If 2 folks were dressy, it was a lot.
Dinner we had steak Dianne and mine was raw like purple inside. I sent it back. The second was better. We sat next to a single mom and her six year old son. He was so grown up and adorable. We had fun with them. Dessert was apple crumble with ice cream. Like I need more dessert.
We walked around thru the stores, not really looking for anything. We ended up at the theater. We went in, and a show was starting. This group of maybe a dozen young ladies and men were very talented. The amount of continual crazy flipping and swinging , some were crazy. One girl was straight up over this guy and held on with 1 hand on his forehead!!!!!! Insane. I didn’t know or like all the songs, but their acrobatics were too incredible not to stay and watch.
We were drained, but as we were walking back towards the elevator, we heard music. We went to look, and this guy is playing a guitar amazingly great, so we stopped. He was using a big electrical box on the floor that he kept tapping, and it changed the sound coming from the guitar. It was fabulous. We stayed and listened to the end of their set.
Then we finally decided it was time for calling it a night. What a fun day. I am honored you came and read my blog. I hope I gave you a smile. Thank you so much for stopping by.
