I got up slowly didnt want a quick start to my day. I sat down and read my book for a while. But, he wanted to get going. So i got dressed and we had Herring and matzoh for breakfast. I know strange combination for most people.
We went to Walmart. What a nice store. It was very old, but they put in a lot and made it very nice. Everything is labeled so nicely. We went to get our paper plates and cutlery we are getting low. We found some bargains too.
We left there and went to Lowes to get El a key chain. He has lost his keys 2x. Can’t have that happen again. While there, we went to the plates devision. We found all the plates and cutlery we needed. My tomato plant is turning yellow. So I searched their gatden dept. And found a new one in the out door market. Very healthy has flowers and tomatoes growing. I’ll keep the other but we will see.
Then we went to another store The Grocery market I think is the name. It is like trader joes only more the 75% less. El nearly put a leash on me. The deals were ridiculous. For example, whole grain pasta .99, rice noodles $1.59; straw veggies huge bag $2.49, bone broth $2.99, soup .99, it was ridiculous. We left with a cart full and the bill was $68.00.
My job when we got back was to put it all away. A challenge indeed. But, I have been put to this task so many times. I have never failed. This was no different. It took a bit of removing and rearranging but I got it done. For example we had a case of Guinness. There were only 6 bottles left. I grabbed the bottles put 4 in a bag for storing bottles and 2 in the frig. Stuff like that to put it all away.
When we were done it was time to head back to Tux. It didn’t take long. But El knows these farms and was pointing out those are for chicken, that is hay for the animals all sorts of stuff. He must have been a farmer in another life!
We mad it home and everything got put away. It’s dinner time. I took out a flank steak. I made broccoli and cabbage with it. It was pretty good except the meat was difficult to cut. I may have sliced the pieces wrong?
All is cleaned up and the day comes to an end. In the fire place room we only get Spanish TV stations????
