This morning I was planning to met a long time friend for lunch. I read if she was coming and was sad to find she had medical issues which preclude her visit. My heart felt bad she had issues.
Instead El indicated we go shopping for food. So I started to dress for going out. Then he decided its going to rain we will go tomorrow. OK, I change to my hang out clothes. The sun comes out. Okay, put my plants out. Oh no, it’s humid like Florida! I change into shorts. The plants are out maybe 2 hours and it begins to rain. I put my rain coat on to get the plants indoors. But its light rain at first. Take my raincoat off they could use light rain. I settle down and it starts to pour. Jump up and get my rain coat to grab plants. So, what now?
The rain is crazy on 20 mins then the sun comes out. Then there is thunder and rain. Really crazy all day. I don’t remember what I did, but i read my book some. I caught up on yesterday’s blog. Finished 2 magazines I started. Did a crossword puzzle. Looked thru recipes to decide how I want to make cod fish. But, I over did it without thinking I made both corn and sweet potatoes. 2 carbs not me! 2 veggies and the fish was good. Strange recipe with onions, garlic, fire roasted tomatoes and ham!!!!! It was good. I couldn’t finish the meal so we have left overs.
Just before I started to cook my son from Washington state called. World stops for that call! I was so happy! I ran outside we had trouble connecting. He has decided to apply for a new program. Please pray he makes it! It is so up his alley! But, it started to rain and I knew it was impossible to continue inside. I’m so happy when my kids reach out. It warms my soul.
After dinner we settled with the TV on. I’m don’t watch TV that much. But, it was on Alaska truckers.,It’s a crazy job! Then he had car auctions it amazes me how much people spend for old cars. But, to br fair it is no different than collections of anything. Then ninja warriors are on. I thought one of my kids could do that stuff. He for a long while trained in martial arts.
