Did you ever want a day to end? I admit gladly I don’t have many but this one just went from bad to worse. Initially, we were going to get food items i need for dinner..
However, El called the mfr Brinkey about the air-conditioning, in that you can’t control the temperature. The talk went on for a while. But, apparently, what I got form listening, and I’m not RV smart about how things work, It seems we had the right part and it gave a problem code and they took it out and sent it back. We have been to the place 3 times to fix it, last August, May and June. El is SO NOT HAPPY. BUT, it gets worse.
EL calls the RV mechanic shop, Beckley. He speaks to the same guy, who tells him he needs to bring it in for analysis of the problem so they can order the right part. The problem is they had it 3X to fix it. They know what’s wrong. He tells El to order the part when it’s not the customers responsibility. El calls Brinkley. But no response. Can you just scream! This isn’t over.
I try to get some hot water and there is none. 2 issues in one day. HELP! He checks the connections outside can’t fix it. Calls a mechanic to come. Figures maybe there is not enough propane. Get in the truck and fill the tank. Still broken no hot water.
Now we wait for the mechanic. Im done, get a chair and put my plants outside. We are not going shopping even though I need a couple of things for dinner.
Finally, the mechanic comes and goes inside the RV. He is out in 10 minutes and says easy fix and leaves. It turns out, there is a switch in the closet in the bathroom that accidently got turned off. It cost El $75.00 to turn on a switch he forgot was there. OMG!
it’s late but we go to the food store for a few things. He finds a huge chicken reduced to $6.58. It is clearly a bargain. The thing weighed 8lbs. We are done we go check out. El notices the original price is not covered. He ask the cashier if it wrung up right? She can’t find it calls for help.The help does something at the register and on we go. One the way home I take out the receipt. The chicken is not on there. That’s the prize for the day. I managed to get the big guy in the freezer took up almost an entire shelf. At least we finally laughed.
Luckily I had dinner planned in my head. Not too many ingredients, kale, sausage, onion garlic and northern white beans. Yummo!
I’m writing this on Wed morning it was to close yesterday to be civil.
Thank you for reading my ranting blog for today. It really is nuts. And the a/c is still not fixed. We will be back in August so the story will continue, help me.
