It was nice to start the day slowly. I read a bit and put my plants outside. I’m afraid my tomato plant got over watered and is dying. Its leaves are all drooping. I am sick over it.
We had a nice breakfast of omlettes with mushrooms, onions and cheese. While he cooked I finally did some exercises. It felt good to start again. I finished and then took a shower.
After that we decided to go to the food store. It is called Stakes. We went inside and we found the prices to be high compared to what we have seen so far. We came upon this little store connect to the grocery but separate liquor store. We looked around and I found a double oaked bourbon, Jim Beam. I could not resist. There were so many with flavors added, cherry, vanilla, honey. They don’t appeal to me. I think we got bananas and left.
We then went to an Amish market which has grown since last year. We walk around they were about to close. At the last minute, we found a half pie reduced by half so we got it, apple pie.
We went back and it was dinner time. I took out these large bone in rib eye. I made green beans and brown rice. They were BBQed on grill and were soooo delicious! We need to get more of those. But, with the price of meat so high it may be a while.
We then decided to take a walk around the campground, the singers were gone. We walked down to the river and saw some people in small boats. We saw a million geese on the other side of the river. We walked up to a cabin and it turned out to be the manager. A young lady but she is working her butt off. She is doing everything. It includes patrolling in the evening for RVers who sneak in! She’s working on the pool, and getting rid of the old stored RVs. A real laundry list but the place is looking better.
We came back from the walk and decided to attack the watermelon. It was good El ate and ate and ate it. It’s almost as good as ice cream to him!
That brings us to the end of this day. I Thank you for stopping by to read my blog. It means the world to me.
Enjoy! Have some pie for dessert!
