Today we decided to go shopping for food at the Amish store Forks, there are 2 of them. Before we left we had French toast and it was so yummo!

These stores are in the heart of Amish territory. We saw every combination of transport. They drive buggies with horses, with a closed and open cab. We saw both mainly closed. They even have lights in the back signaling stop, left or right. It’s amazing how many Amish they can get in one unit. We then saw bicycles, even electric bikes used by older women.

Then the clothes. Oh my the kids are so cute. The little boys have the black hats and suspenders and the little girls have dresses with matching bonnets. All the girls wear the same dress.

The food wasn’t as cheap as I remember. We have bought over time a lot more food. They had a few sales for example we got pork loin for $3.99 But, we can get that at home. The big bag of amish noodles were cheap $3.99 for a big bag.

Driving back we saw so many horses at the houses we passed. They all must live in the areas. There was clearly a buggy lane to the right because it was filled with horse poop.

When we got home the campground was packed with a lot of RV buses. They seem to be having 2 rallies at once. Rallies are when one brand of RVs get together. They share dinner, lectures, entertainment.

We finally got back it was dinner time. I put the groceries away, I made 2 pork tenderloins. I can’t tell when they put 2 in the same package. So we have leftovers. Then I made Guiness Mac n cheese and peas. The Mac and cheese was different. I don’t remember when I saw it in an Amish store. But never saw it again, it cost $.39, really! YUP! It was pretty good.

After everything is done and put away I am so tired. I don’t think of the blog until I wake up to go to the bathroom during the night and say…oh no I didn’t write my blog! Ah such is life! Hope I gave you a smile. Here are some pictures of what we saw today.
