I am soooooo. Sorry for missing these blogs. The 18 & 19 all I did was wake and pack. But, every time I opened a cabinet I had to ask the following:
Are you coming home? I put it aside for packing. If not….
Are you staying on Tux? If yes, I have to think are there any others of these or does this stay put. For example, coffee cups are everywhere. And every kind. So there are ceramic cups, FlyingJ cups, blue big plastic like the red?.. cup(can’t think of the word). Or small wine cups. They must all go in one place the word organize!. If not…
Then you have to say: We throw you away! A huge package of foam white cups in the garbage, a steel cute herb cutter got rusty in the garbage, 2 adorable Vincent van gogh painting table mats. They are so old. I got them in my other life hitch hiking around Europe! Imagine in the garbage sad to say good bye.
Now that I have the garbage and the organization. What do I do with the stuff lying around. That’s where packing for home comes in. There must be at least a dozen huge plastic bags. Foods, kitchen stuff, clothes, bathroom, stuff. I’m a good packer too!
So, I’m sorry that when I do that for 2 days straight days, I just pass out. Forgive me!!!!
Today is the 20th, and we finally moved to Georgia. I know we are getting closer I saw a palm tree! Now, the truth is we come here for fresh fish. The best packed fish right off the fishing rod. The stuff is so fabulous. Oh, and yes you pay huge bucks. I love to cook so for us it is so worth it. For example alot of pieces weren’t even 8oz and the were over $20.00. But, we bought a bunch and brought it back and it’s safe in the freezer. We made sure we had room for it all.
I am too exhausted to start cooking, so I suggested we eat out. We asked the manager where to go. We found a small place in an outside shopping mall. Reviews were outstanding. If they had 15 tables it was a lot. Packed. We were lucky there was a small table for two. We learned the key is to reserve a table. We came early a bit before 5pm.
OMG! El order a seafood feast with crab claws and shrimp and all southern sides. I order an appetizer of 3 different kinds of shrimp. The dishes were amazing. We both couldn’t move. There was not 1 table open. As soon one emptied it was filled. They have a bar too and that was filled. When we left, seats outside were filling up.. MR SHUCKS SEAFOOD!
We got back to the RV and we had no power. We were told there is a black out. Crap what do we do now.? Luckily in about 15 mins power came back. We load what bags we could in the back of the truck. But, because of the heat we have to be careful of food.
This brings you up to date on my travel blog on the road with our Mr TUX. It’s been a hot, rainy humid summer.
But our travel plans continue! If you care to come with us. In Sept we have 2 small trips. One to Carleston, South Carolina. Sept 8th. Then one to Branson Missouri Sept 21. Both are I think 3 or 4 nights. Then in October I think we go to Las Vegas October 4th. Then Oct 28th we fly to Rome for an ocean crossing. Then in the end of Nov we are taking a cruise around New Zealand! I’m totally excited about that one. It’s on my bucket list! Then we have 2 things for 2027. But let’s not push it. We need to get thru 2026 first.
