Wake up call at 7am. Yup it’s early but it’s ship time. We pack everything up and by 8am we put the big suitcases outside our room. We head for breakfast buffet. It was the same, fresh squeezed orange juice, strong coffee, fresh fruit that’s ripe like good pineapple, pastries my favorite the croissants with chocolate. Yummo. I took eggs and cheese with Genoa salami but I didn’t finish.
We went back up to our room to get our carry on finish packing. It’s now around 9:20am the busy is suppose to leave at 10am. we get downstairs see people with carry-ons. El spots a man with a clip board marked on line vacations. We check yup our names are there we pick our suitcases and they grab our carry-ons and throw them on the bus. We take a seat.
We were warned. About the labor strikes. We’ll there they were coming right at us. Our bus driver yelled at the cops we had enough time to move. But they made us stay. They were a bunch of young kids. They screamed and yelled but were organized and no trouble and we moved on. How a big sized bus passed thru these narrow streets was a wonder less than an inch from cars.
We got to the cruise terminal. At around noonish we didn’t get on board till 2:30pm. It was the worst ever! We were on line to check our passport. We were on line to our boarding pass. The worst they gave tickets for #s to be called ours was 42. About after a 2 hour wait, we stand on line for immigration.
Then the worst we had to take an escalator up to the ship my suitcase got stuck fell on the moving escalator me tumbling with it. My first thought was death. However, as luck would have it no one was behind us. I managed to grab the suitcase and give it to El and stand up with my carry on bag and just in time to pull it all off the moving stairs. I was so shaken. However, we got on the ship.
We found our room on the 8th floor. We have an infinite balcony where the room goes to the balcony where the glass wall comes done. We also noticed the closet space is so much better. We found plugs and stacked everything to be charged.
I unpacked both our suitcases plenty of hangers too!
We were hungry it was after 5pm so we went to dinner. We both had prime rib. I had escargot yummo!!! I tried mushroom soup it was delicious. Dessert I had canollis and rum raisin ice cream.
After dinner we stopped at Effy they had a drawing for earrings I already have.
We went to the art gallery what a nice area huge we have never seen it that big. We are in check we have so much, We listened a short while to the singer for tonight’s show.
Then we went to guest internet both our phones are not cooperating.
Then we went to the excursion desk apparently, for the 1st time ever i double booked tours. I am beside myself. So angry feeling stupid. Turns out we can do both. One leaves 8:30am returning 12;45 and the other is 2:00pm. We will see how it goes.
