We went to breakfast at the Oceanview cafeteria another words buffet style. The room is huge and there are plenty workers helping clear tables. Things were organized well so there weren’t long lines. I guess there were many folks taking tours cause there were plenty of folks having breakfast at 7am.
We got on the bus the tour guide was a nice italian lady. We saw the island from a hill top. It’s pretty, crowded homes with not as many people you would think.
We visited a museum with ancient brass figures, pottery, coffins. The place is over 2,000 years old. You look at the bldgs, many of stone but 2,000 yrs!!!
We also saw a church it was fairly elaborate with sculptures and an enormous organ.
At the end, we had free time so we went and had a cappacino. It is so wonderful. It was served with an unusually curved spoon area.
I didnt buy anything which is unusual for me. We drove back to the pier. When we walked thru the terminal bldg I got a baby bottle of lemoncello. They wanted 22 euros for a normal bottle.
We signed up for another tour after that. Unfortunately, after an hour of searching for the tour guide we gave up. Perhaps a mis-communication. I am so unhappy.
We went back to the ship. It was time for dinner. We went for the same waiter he was so good. I had coquille st Jacque, basically scallops in a cream sauce with bread crumbs. I’ve had it served in shells. This was an entire container. I couldn’t finish. I had a Greek salad with olives. Stuffed grape leaves fish and 3 sauces with small pitas. Yummo! Then a plate of pasta. I was already full, i tried my best. Dessert was creme brulee and lemon sorbet. I could hardly get up.
However, there was a magician for the show. He was totally talented with cards. He also did people in boxes that when opened disappeared. Or changed places. It was very entertaining.
We decided to stop for a cappacino. IT was OK but not the italian style or taste.
After a stroll we ended back at the room. We were tired we walked over 4 miles.
