We got up early and went to breakfast I had museli, it is so good on ships why can’t I do it at home? I added raisins, figs, fruit and I was good. I also had a cinnamon bun. Only 1 pastry. It was hard.
We got it together for tour #1 from the ship. We walked up this hill and stopped at a church. It took hundreds of years to build. It has different architecture throughout. Then we walked to see Picasso’s house. We only saw the ouside. So why did we go there? There is a statue of him sitting on a bench. Similar to Van Gough sitting on a bench outside a museum of his paintings in Amsterdam. We did see his amazing museum. Years ago on a different cruise.
Then we walked to have wine and tapas. The first stop was a dish of yellow rice and a few pieces of fish. It was ok, shrimp and some other fish. We had red wine.
Then we went to another restaurant. To try other Tapas. This time it was baked potato with and egg inside on bread. The 2nd was a piece of bread with a small piece of tomato with prosciutto on top. More red wine. No one at our table of 8 finished it.
Then we took another walk up and down hills to a small castle on top of a hill. It had a map of Malaga years ago. It had some tiny sculptures and plates. It was boring. Then we looked out over the town. Yup its all white and pretty crowded.
We got back on the bus back to the ship.
OK so to continue my dumb move of booking 2 tours in one day, we had a second tour. Same company as the one who didn’t connect with us.
This one we got the bus ticket got dropped at town center and was told where to walk to meet him. He was there! We were so happy.
He drove way up winding roads and on a parkway to this town. Can’t remember the name. But so special. Curvey roads. And steps of stone up and down a mountain. Everything was painted white. Everything pretty much attached. The road was 1 car wide very scary but very few cars passed. Police a couple of motor cycles. The town was very quiet. In front of many homes there were pretty potted plants. The doors were old wooden ones with different handles and knockers.
Our guide was so wonderful. He held my arm going up and down the stone stairs. I was ok, but he insisted because they are not even or the same width. He wanted to make sure I won’t trip.
Our guide told us the town is from the 1400s. It was amazing some leave their windows open and it’s beautiful inside. There is one main street before going up into the houses where there are restaurants and drinks and stores.
After, he drove us the the beach. There we saw shops and restaurants. There is a fence way long the last of southern Europe. On the side was Africa. Keep going west and there is Gibralter before the Atlantic ocean. We stopped for some red wine and watch the sun set. It was so peaceful and pretty. He then drove us back to make the bus. We missed it so he knew a way to drive us to the entrance which leads to the ship.
We got back and didn’t bother to change for dinner because it was nearly 8pm. We went to the buffet. It was amazing. I ate or tasted so many things and everything was delicious.
By the time we were done eating we were so exhausted from 2 tours walking up and down mountains we went to our room. Lucky the clocks go back an hour.
Thanks for coming by to read my blog. I hope I made you smile. Enjoy!
