Breakfast comes first. I tell myself to have control. But, an egg roll up, a bar of wheat and bran and healthy stuff. A chocolate croissant. It’s 7am. We finish and wait until the capt. Says we can go ahead.
We have the address of the meeting point of the tour. We stop at a tour desk to check how to get there. She tells and we walk. We see the name up ahead. We ask someone else they point up. We asked c a few more they all say up. We are referring to steps and stone streets going straight up. It took us 45 minutes to climb. It was so insane. We get to the top. An English speaking person came over and looked at the address.
Are you ready??? We are at the company’s casino hotel. The other hotel is below. Could u die! We got inside and ask them to call a taxi.
At this point the tour guide calls. He said stay put i come get you. We cancel taxi. He picks us up and brings us to a mini bus pick up. Took a while to understand but we finally did. A mini bus shows up full. The last 2 seats are tiny single seats squashed in the last 2 seats behind each other. It was awful.
We stopped at a big jesus with his hands out. We stopped at a place where rocks were in the sea. It made a beautiful picture. Then we stopped at where the triangle homes are remade by the country. It was good to take a picture. We asked the tour leader if he will be at the cruise port by 5pm. He went crazy not possible! He didn’t know we were from a cruise.
He asks a restaurant to call taxi to go back to ship. We wait. Turns out they didn’t call. We have to walk to a taxi stand. So we walk down hill. We are shot from the trouble. Luckily there was 1 taxi. So 45 minutes later and 67 euros later we are back at the ship.
We go to lunch. I got bourbon and coke. Then a piece of this and that, rare roast beef, piece of lamb, piece of beef with coconut and asparagus. I got a bunch of other things a lemon creme puff, blueberry crumble, some other pastries I’m done.
We went to our room and I passed out. Now I didnt mention i also booked a ship tour at the same time. I don’t know how I did this dumb mistake!!!!
I got up for dinner. More food where is it all going? I can’t get my wedding ring off!!!
We went to the show. A black lady who sang her heart out! I even knew all but 3 songs. I heard them but didn’t know the words. I don’t think the majority of 70, 80, and 90s aged folks had a clue what she sang. We went to bed. But I had to write my blog.
